Planner for Sportswear Department

Location: New York, NY

Responsibilities:

Develop focused OTB / assortment plans by category, item, class, vendor and source to exploit opportunities and advance the strategic merchandising initiatives. Develop thoughtful financial plans.
Manage in-season inventories, identifying opportunities (business that should receive additional funding) and liabilities (items that need specific attention, i.e. markdown, promotion) to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Develop and enhance supply chains for basic product as well as determining the proper sell through for all other merchandise focusing on meeting inventory plan and turn.
Assure proper distribution and re-distribution in an effort to maximize sales and margin while minimizing or meeting markdown plans.
